About the Policy Pros Team
Policy Pros was founded in 2019 by Jo and Shaun. Since then, we have supported organisations across the UK with policy and procedure reviewing and writing. Sometimes we even take on a project that's a little different – but if we can help, we will!
Our Work Is Built on Two Straightforward Principles
Principle 1
Policy and procedure work is often the bane of SMEs and charities. We are here to make it easy – we ask what our customers want, quote them a fair price and deliver documents that are ready to go.
Principle 2
Policies and procedures should not simply exist for inspection purposes. They should support staff, guide decisions, and help organisations operate safely and effectively. Every document we produce is written to be clear, compliant, and practical to use in real operations.
How We Work
When you work with Policy Pros, you work directly with us. We answer your calls and emails, scope projects out, undertake the lion's share of the work and handle all the admin - there are no account managers or handoffs between departments, which means you always have a clear point of contact and full accountability throughout.
For larger or specialist projects, we also draw on a trusted network of associates with sector-specific expertise in compliance, governance, and regulation.
Meet the Team
Jo
Policy & Compliance Specialist
Jo will be your main contact and is our full-time reviewer and writer.
Having worked as a qualified healthcare professional and trade union representative as well as in HR, operations and management rolls, she has a broad range of knowledge. So, if it's healthcare, HR, health and safety, governance, ethics or operational policies, then Jo will most likely be your lead on the work.
Since starting Policy Pros, she has continued to build on her knowledge and now (almost) rivals Shaun in the data protection and security arena! There's never anything that a customer can ask for that Jo isn't willing to learn about, which makes her a true asset!
But above all else, she loves her work (something which always amazes our customers) and truly wants to help people reach their goals.
Shaun
Technical Analyst & Consultant
Shaun has over fifteen years of experience as a Technical Analyst and Consultant, working with global organisations on digital transformation, systems implementation, and operational improvement programmes.
His analytical background means he approaches policy writing differently to most. Rather than adapting generic templates, he maps how an organisation's systems and workflows operate and builds documentation around that reality.
This is particularly valuable for IT governance, data protection, AI policy, and any documentation that needs to reflect technical processes accurately.
Shaun brings structured thinking to policy development, ensuring that documentation is not only compliant on paper but logically sound and operationally relevant to the people using it day to day.
Support Team
We are lucky to have a very small team who work for us on an ad hoc basis. During busy periods, they might proofread our work or even produce entire policy documents with oversight from Jo or Shaun.
Don't worry though, they are smart and just as dedicated as the Directors, who have known them for over 40 years and trust them with their lives as well as their reputation.
